I fractured my hip and was placed under the care of Mr Ayman Sorial. I found him to be kind and reassuring, with a good sense of humour. He had a gruelling Friday and Saturday at Harrogate Hospital, but still gave up his Sunday morning, to perform my total hip replacement, to alleviate my pain. His surgical skill has meant that I have had minimal bruising and his reassuring post-surgical visit gave me the confidence, that my new hip should serve me well for the rest of my life. I am truly grateful to have been one of his patients.

From arriving in A&E,on 1st. December 2019,after a fall,to having my hip replacement operation performed the following morning I was looked after very well by the consultant and all his team,also physiotherapist and all nursing and medical staff on the ward. Mr.Ayman Sorial did a wonderful job and was pleasant , attentive and caring.

I had to have gamma nail surgery after a fall on stone steps which broke my femur near the hip. Mr Sorial was fantastic. He explained the procedure completely, putting me at ease and giving me confidence in the outcome. The operation went very well. At my follow-up consultation he discussed everything in detail and after examination was very pleased with my progress as am I. I cannot thank Mr Sorial enough for his expertise, compassion and excellent bedside manner.

After having remedial surgery on a hip replacement years ago I was still left with debilitating pain. Steroid injections were tried by various Doctors to no avail, UNTIL last year when I met Mr Sorial. He did the procedure slightly differently by aiming the injection into three sites without extracting the needle fully (still the same amount of steroid). It worked and for the first time in years I had some respite from the daily pain. Unfortunately he has moved on to different pastures, I wish him well wherever he goes and I am sorry I will no longer be seeing him. BUT last week by coincidence he was in the orthopaedic clinic and jokingly asked if he'd do the injection (time before the injection hadn't worked ). As the clinic was running late the Doctor who we were seeing agreed for him to help him out and do the injection. Hey presto result, it worked. Note to Mr Sorial..I hope you've made a note on my records on how you do it. Thank you you're a lovely person.
